Enablers of contracts

JORD supplies heat by of operating renewable energy plants and belongs to the TBI - group. JORD had a variety of maintenance contracts for the maintenance of its energy plants, all concluded with the other TBI companies, such as Croon Wolter and Dros.

The Challenge

A partnership must provide something for all parties to the agreement. Therefore, Pim was asked to analyze the extent to which these contracts contribute to JORD's goals and operations.

The Solution

The analysis showed that the contracts entered into varied by location. In addition, the maintenance contracts were mainly focused on reactive maintenance. This ensured that if the installations did not function or did not function properly, the risks were insufficiently covered.

After the presentation of this analysis, JORD asked Pim to rewrite the contracts. He wrote one parent contract applicable to all plants and subcontracts per plant, including a clear description of the desired maintenance per asset.

Pim:

"By making maintenance an important part of operations and not seeing it as a cost item, as an operator you ensure that it contributes directly to a positive operating result. Proactively taking care of the installations, in fact, makes the Total Cost of Ownership of these significantly lower."
